CFSC Honors our Heroes with Donation to Hope For The Warriors

NEW JERSEY – 02-19-2019 (PRDistribution.com) — Veterans Day 2018 sparked the first day of Community Financial Service Centers (CFSC) Honoring our Heroes campaign throughout the 200+ centers nationwide. Employees and customers acknowledged our military heroes with each branch location accepting donations for the non-profit Hope For The Warriors, an organization that touches military service men, women and their families by restoring their sense of self, family, and hope with dedicated programs focused on clinical health and wellness, sports and recreation and transition services.

“As our commitment to our communities, each year CFSC promotes a national campaign, among several other local campaigns, to spread awareness and/or raise funds to support a worthwhile cause,” expressed Gina M. Palumbo, CFSC Director of Marketing. “Helping others is a huge part of who we are as a company, from the daily financial support services for residents in our neighborhoods, to larger outreach to those around us experiencing hardships. It is so rewarding to support our veterans through the promise of Hope For The Warriors’ programs which truly help make our deserved veterans’ lives a little easier, a little more encouraged,” Gina said.

Honoring our Heroes was highlighted through the end of November and raised $15,000 for Hope For The Warriors to support them in fulfilling their programs for the benefit of veterans, service members and military families. CFSC employees wore military caps during November, creating awareness of Veterans Day and their campaign to raise funds for this earnest non-profit. These caps were also available for purchase in CFSC NY and NJ locations for $8.50 with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Hope For The Warriors. Customers were encouraged to contribute as little as $1 to help support the campaign and overall donation. Those who donated were given a badge with their name on it and it was displayed in the branch location.

In January 2019, executive members from Hope For The Warriors, Janell Johnson Newkirk, Director of Development, Jeanne Long, VP of Development, and Nicholas Montini, Military & Veteran Program Coordinator, visited CFSC’s NY Headquarters for a meet and greet with the management team, including CFSC department heads, as well as 11 Regional Managers, who were gathering for a meeting that day. “We’re so grateful to have worked alongside the amazing team at Community Financial Services Center to lead a successful campaign that will go to support veterans and their caregivers,” said Hope For The Warriors Director of Development, Janell Johnson Newkirk. “At Hope For The Warriors, we believe that in order to fully support veterans we must include the entire family. Thank you CFSC for believing in our comprehensive well-being model that aims to restore a sense of self, family, and hope to those touched by military services.”
