PGA PRO GOLFER RELEASES NEW MUSIC AND EMBARKS ON CANADIAN TOUR!

– 04-08-2019 — Cassidy Hritzuk has created quite a name for himself as a PGA pro golfer! Now his journey has taken an exciting new turn into the music business! His band “Lucky Monkey” have released an EP and are embarking on a Canadian tour to support the release! If that wasn’t enough, Lucky Monkey has been chosen as the headliner for a TV show coming to the band’s hometown of Kelowna B.C.!

Meet the band

Josh Evans: Originating from Calgary, Alberta, Josh moved to Kelowna in 2013 to attend UBC Okanagan. He met Cassidy through golf which spawned his position in forming the band. Josh has a passion for music and drumming that stretches as far as his imagination, but he also enjoys other hobbies such as sports, outdoor activities and spending time with friends.

When he is not busy with music, you can find Josh out with friends, relaxing at home watching a movie and in the summertime often on the golf course. He enjoys going to the beach on a summer day, boating and other water adventures, as well as going for hikes with his best friend and their dog taking in the beautiful Okanagan scenery. Josh also enjoys travelling when time allows for it so being on the road with the guys helps facilitate that, as he says “being in this band has given me the opportunity to visit many places I never thought I would. That is only going to continue further as we embark on our first cross-country tour in the spring.”

Cass grew up in a small town of less 1000 people in northern Saskatchewan. Music has always been a part of his life, but it didn’t dominate it until he was well into his 20’s. Before music took over his life, his other passion of golf took top priority. Upon graduation from college in Southern California, Cass became a Canadian PGA Golf Professional, a title he still holds to this day. From there, Cass travelled the world for golf, and it wasn’t until he met his brothers in music that he realized it was time to step back from one passion, and completely pursue the one he cared about most: Music.

Lucky Monkey Bio

Since releasing their debut self-titled EP in August 2017, Lucky Monkey has won over rock fans of all eras across Western Canada with their hybrid rock sound including three performances at Rogers Arena for the Vancouver Canucks and winning “Battle Of The Bands” at Grizfest 2018, which granted the guys a spot sharing the stage with MONSTERTRUCK, THE LAZY’S, HARLEQUIN AND BRET MICHAELS. With a perfect blend of soaring melodic vocals, hard blues-inspired riffs, funk derived bass lines and a heavy, groove-locked rhythm; Lucky Monkey is poised to take Canada by storm on their upcoming cross country tour in spring 2019.
