New construction begins as Sacramento entrepreneurs bring Seattle-based golf bar to lively Downtown Commons (DOCO).
Flatstick DOCO (“Flatstick Pub”) has broken ground in DOCO and is teed up to be the hottest new drinkertainment spot in Sacramento later this Summer. Located in the heart of downtown, Flatstick Pub will occupy the ground floor and entire basement of the 630 K Street beside the Golden 1 Arena – home to the Sacramento Kings. With three wildly successful locations in Washington, Flatstick brings the putt putt bar concept to Sacramento in true Farm-to-Fork fashion pairing adult indoor mini golf games with dozens of locally made beers, wines and spirits from the surrounding region.Flatstick DOCO is independently owned, operated and managed by Sacramento entrepreneurs, Jenny and Brandon Robinson. This family business is passionate about Sacramento and aims to align the mini golf pub with the community’s values. In true ‘Sacramento Proud’ fashion, the Robinson’s have made their mini golf pub completely local – from the ground up. Enlisting two companies who’ve helped build and design some of Sacramento’s most notable buildings; Vitae Architecture (The Citizen Hotel, Grange, Camden Spit & Larder) and construction team DesCor Builders (McKinley Village Recreation Center, Niello MINI, Revival at the Sawyer) are local legends who will help this new venture make a grand impression.
“Flatstick is all about supporting our local community, which is why it was important for us to choose a local architect and construction outfit,” said Flatstick DOCO’s Owner Brandon Robinson. “We know they’re working hard to have our doors open as soon as possible and we can’t wait to share this amazing space with our community. The future of Sacramento is very important to us and we’re humbled to be able to contribute to it.”
With construction underway at the DOCO location, Flatstick is destined to fit right in to the public square’s ever-growing nightlife experience of eatertainment, shopping and pop-up seasonal activities. Flatstick will feature a mini golf course, unique pub games, regionally grown food, big screen televisions and over 40 of Sacramento’s tastiest brews on tap. Flatstick will also be available for large party rentals and corporate buyouts, putting them above par all other craft brew pubs and sports bars this side of the Sierra’s.
