United States, Oregon, Ashland – 04-29-2019 (PRDistribution.com) — Brazen Girl, a new girls’ clothing line launches online today. The company’s mission is to outfit young girls in apparel with aspirational imagery that reflects their interests and ability to succeed in more traditional male arenas including action sports, science, the outdoors, math, technology, and outdoor lifestyles.
“In shopping for my own daughter, it became clear to me that casual clothing options featuring athletic, brainy, hardy or empowering graphics are reserved for boys clothing. Girls’ clothing almost exclusively feature hearts, flowers and less assertive language,” says Brazen Girl’s founder and lead designer, Ryann Kivel. “With my graphic design background I knew I could create a new category to represent these interests, aspirations and attitudes that young women also have.”
Brazen Girl’s design studio is located in Ashland, Oregon. The clothing is produced in Los Angeles and North Carolina. The line is focused on reaching girls aged three to twelve years old, and will also include options for infants, teens and adults.
“We’re really excited to be a part of the worldwide women’s empowerment movement. For us it’s not only recognizing women’s equality – but highlighting aspects of family lifestyle and parental messages that are about intelligence, strength, power, enthusiasm, focus, grit, fun, expression – every sentiment related to enthusiasm and empowerment,” reports Kivel. “I’ve been so inspired by other entrepreneurs and products like GoldieBlox and the Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls series. It’s time to take these same ideas to apparel.”
Brazen Girl has also pledged to donate $1 from every sale to Girls, Inc. a charity that advocates on behalf of girls and delivers life-changing programs and experiences, with a mission is inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold.
