Lifeskills South Florida to Host Grand Opening Celebration for New Outpatient Center

Delray Beach, FL – 06-18-2019 — Lifeskills South Florida will host a Grand Opening Celebration for the new Outpatient Center on June 20, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Clinical staff and center leadership will be on hand to provide information and offer tours of the new facility. The new outpatient center specializes in treating individuals 18 years and older who struggle with mental health and substance use disorders including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Dr. Daniel Bober, a quadruple board-certified physician in General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine, will serve as the Medical Director to provide ongoing psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Our nationally certified primary therapists will offer engaging and creative treatment interventions utilizing five evidence-based clinical pathways: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Chemical Dependency, Trauma, and Cognitive Remediation. Klay Weaver, Lifeskills South Florida Chief Executive Officer shares, “For 29 years, Lifeskills South Florida has offered quality, ethical care to adults with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. The expansion of our Outpatient Program to a location closer to our FARR-certified transitional living arrangements will strengthen the clinical experience and outcomes for our outpatient clients.”Lifeskills South Florida Outpatient Center offers programs that provide ongoing interdisciplinary assessment and intensive treatment. The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) serves both as an intervention to prevent hospitalization when problems are escalating, and as a step-down from hospitalizations or residential treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) also allows individuals who are experiencing emerging mental health issues to gain a solid foundation before stepping down into traditional outpatient services or offer added support when current treatment is not frequent enough.
