In the competitive shoe market, it is great to see a manufacturer and a prominent retailer equally committed to customer satisfaction. Gravity Defyer®, celebrating over 10 years as a leader of the pain relief footwear innovation launched a 3-week sales event that would introduce Gravity Defyer® to select Walking Company® stores.
Before the launch, Gravity Defyer® trainers conducted store visits providing interactive training, best practices, and tips to lift customer engagement to the Walking Company® associates. Associates learned the story behind VersoShock® and learned how Gravity Defyer® Footwear fits the needs of a growing customer base as well as The Walking Company®’s dedicated customers who are interested in maximizing all-day comfort. A special message from Gravity Defyer’s founder, Alexander Elnekaveh, helped build confidence with an inspiring brand video and product demonstration with a –simple to recall message– to help build associate confidence and excitement. Managers and Merchandisers felt equally supported, receiving window posters, display elements, and standardized table set-ups that would enhance their customer’s experience and empower associates to greet in-store guests with confidence.
The 3-week event was a huge success with favorable customer responses and sales to match. Walking Company® associates and managers reported favorable responses to both the Gravity Defyer® product line and sales approach. The additional training of sales associates fuelled confidence and conversions making Gravity Defyer® a go-to solution to fill customer’s needs. Customers loved the feel, with 35% purchasing additional products as a direct result.
Since the launch, sales at the Walking Company® have continued to go strong. In response, plans are underway to launch Gravity Defyer® Pain Relief footwear and the newly announced G-Defy® VersoCloud® XLR8 RUN to all Walking Company stores in the next quarter.
