“Adaptive fashion for everyone!” Austrian start-up company MOB Industries launches campaign on Kickstarter

Austria – 11-18-2019 (PRDistribution.com) — The name says it all: The MOB in MOB Industries stands for the German Term “Mode ohne Barrieren”, which means fashion without barriers. MOB connects fun, function and fashion – for people with and without disabilities. Now it’s time for the first campaign on Kickstarter launched by the Viennese start-up. Their goal is to raise funds for serial production and design and development of new collections.

Vienna, November 11th, 2019. “Fashion is more than just clothes. Fashion is essential for the autonomy and participation in job and spare time. And in order to express oneself individually.”, says MOB-founder and CEO Josefine Thom (31). Together with Johann Gsöllpointner (36) the Viennese founded MOB Industries a few months ago. “Fashion offers a playful approach to such topics as inclusion and disability.”, Thom further. Thom grew up with an older sister with disabilities and is therefor familiar with the requirements for adaptive fashion.

Stylish, comfortable and suitable for the office

“We put the demands of wheelchair users first. That is why every product development starts with bringing together users and designers.”, explains Co-founder Johann Gsöllpointner the company’s philosophy. “What is more, we cooperate with young fashion labels in order to be able to offer a wide range of diverse designs.

”The garments are suitable for the office, the fabrics are comfortable, the cuts offer better mobility and are practically thought out. For example the pants can be opened from heel to waistband or transformed into shorts without taking them off. Sleeves are short enough in order not to get caught in the wheels of the chair.

What makes MOB fashion unique is that everyone can wear it. Latest findings from cultural science are integrated into the corporate philosophy and communication. Furthermore MOB favors high quality materials, innovative closures and production made in Austria.

Campaign pledges for fashion and art lovers

The fashion label starts an extensive crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter by November 11th, 2019. Within 30 days a minimum of 30.000 € is to be funded. Besides for the production of the current collection, the money is needed to finance the next collection, which is already on the starting block: new cooperations with national and international designers as well as research and development (e.g. accessible shopping) will be pushed forward. Therefor the fashion label offers a wide selection of pledges on Kickstarter. Backers are able to purchase limited edition t-shirts and sweaters as well as garments from the current collection and custom-made products at attractive prizes. Five young artists, among them Stefanie Sargnagel and Martin Grandits support the Kickstarter campaign by donating their artworks.

Inclusive fashion conquers the market

The market for adaptive fashion is said to grow to more than 50 billion US Dollars until 2022. Functional clothing lines like MOB’s solve everyday challenges of and increase the fun for people with disabilities due to various innovative functions. The two founders of MOB Industries want to position themselves as pioneers on the international market for adaptive fashion.
