SOPRANOSCON co-creators Michael Mota, Joe Fama and Daniel Trader – whose wildly-successful Sopranos-themed fan convention drew more than 10,000 visitors from all over the world – have announced, today, that they have spearheaded MOB MOVIE CON, a fan convention, and awards ceremony geared toward devotees of the gangster film and television genre.
Taking place exclusively at Harrah’s Resort & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ, MOB MOVIE CON will take place on April 18th and 19th, 2020. The fan festival and convention will kick off with The Mob Movie Awards, which will take place on April 18th at Harrah’s, and will be streamed all over the world.
“We had a blast bringing the cast and crew of THE SOPRANOS together with fans from all over the world,” said Michael Mota, co-creator of SopranosCon and the CEO of Skyline at Waterplace in Providence, RI. “More than 10,000 people from all over the world embraced us and our vision, and now, with Mob Movie Con, we will take that vision to the next level. Sopranos will once again take center stage along with all of you favorite mob movies and television shows. Featuring cast members from THE GODFATHER, SCARFACE, CASINO, THE SOPRANOS, A BRONX TALE, THE IRISHMAN, and more than 25 different films and television shows in the gangster genre, Mob Movie Con will feature fully interactive activations, autograph sessions, celebrity panels, and more.
Mob Movie Con will also host the first-ever awards ceremony that is dedicated to mob movies from the past and the present. This night will bring together all the wonderful cast from all of these movies/show and will highlight and celebrate them. These awards will be chosen by the fans and will host some of the top celebrities in the industry.
Celebrity guests and hosts for both MOB MOVIE CON and the first-ever MOB MOVIE AWARDS will be announced shortly.
