Dr. Kong grew up on the beautiful campus of Tsinghua University in Beijing. It was built by American missionaries on the grounds of a royal garden, and is considered one of the best universities in China. It was there that Dr. Kong, in her formative years, was surrounded by intellectuals and the atmosphere of dedication to knowledge. At the age of 20, Dr. Kong came to the United States on her own against many obstacles, and eventually graduated as a valedictorian from San Francisco State University.
Upon graduation, Dr. Kong went to the Mayo Clinic to participate in a research fellowship in neuroscience, and then completed her medical training at UCLA School of Medicine. While in medical school, Dr. Kong went on medical missions to India and Jamaica to provide healthcare for the poor. Dr. Kong is a triple board-certified physician by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, American Board of Addiction Medicine, American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Kong has lectured globally on stem cell therapy, exchanged ideas with top stem cell scientists from around the world, and emphasizes the importance of high quality clinical research, and is keenly active in pursuing such research in the field of regenerative medicine.
Throughout her illustrious career Dr. Kong has received awards, accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession.
