Christine is an expert in her field of myofascial pain patterns of the head, neck and face.
Ms. Raffa is a graduate of the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy. She is licensed in Neuromuscular Therapy. She went on to complete advanced studies in neuro-anatomy, physiology, myofascial pain syndromes, as well as advanced training in cranio-sacral and cranio-decompression therapy, somatic emotional release, visceral mobilization, muscle energy, neuro-tissue tension release and structural integration techniques. These therapies set the foundation for Raffa Yoga and Urban Sweat.
Christine is a Master Yoga Teacher with over 20 years’ experience, who has trained with the best and brightest all over the world. Urban Sweat is a 15,000 sq. foot eco-friendly, heated, holistic healing immersion experience with 6 unique styles of saunas and steam rooms. The active relaxation center was created for members to utilize the rooms to draw out impurities, toxins and reduce stress levels. The authentic nature of the heated circuits induces a blissful, euphoric relaxation space that welcomes sleep, meditation and hypnotic rest. All helpful benefits for a healthy lifestyle.
Ms. Raffa graduated from Johnson and Wales University focusing on culinary science and restaurant management. At Raffa Real Food which is part of the Urban Sweat, Christine employs her expertise to guide and nurture the culinary experience. This Vegan cafe offers raw foods, fresh organic juices made to order, aruyvedic seasonally inspired foods and a full catering department.
Not only is Christine involved in every aspect of her multidisciplinary business, she devotes countless hours of service back to her community through Raffa Yoga and Urban Sweat. She works closely with Integrated Health Services (IHS) to change the platform for opioid related addictions. She hosts seminars, workshops and yoga teacher trainings and is available for public speaking upon request.
