VOLTA New York 2020 Round-Up

Fine Art Shippers had the pleasure of visiting this prestigious show, including Guest of Honor & Press Preview held on March 4, which allowed our team to meet with many exhibitors and talented artists who were there to present their works and share their artistic vision. Overall, VOLTA New York featured 53 galleries from 35 cities, bringing to the public’s attention a diverse range of curated presentations and solo projects.

One of the highlights was a solo project by the famous American sculptor Paul Villinski, who was represented at VOLTA New York by Jonathan Ferrara Gallery (New Orleans). Paul Villinski is known for his sculptural wall works and large-scale installations made from aluminum cans found on the streets. He is also the person who created Emergency Response Studio, a mobile artist studio used to house displaced artists after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.Among other highlights at VOLTA New York 2020 were presentations by the London-based JD Malat Gallery featuring works by Robert Montgomery, Li Tianbing, and Conrad Jon Godly; C&C Gallery that showcased works by the British artist Zavier Ellis and the Hungarian artist Mona Osman; Lena & Roselli Gallery featuring a gorgeous selection of artworks by Mozes Incze and Boldi; and Lyle O. Reitzel Gallery from Santo Domingo, presenting the Spanish duo Los Bravu.The next edition of VOLTA will be held in Basel on June 15-20, bringing exceptional contemporary art to the cultural capital of Switzerland.
