The State of Idaho selects OpenGov CARES Act Grants Application Management Solution

United States – 04-29-2020 (PRDistribution.com) — The State of Idaho has partnered with OpenGov – the leader in enterprise cloud software for government – to utilize OpenGov’s Forms and Workflow software for the administration of CARES Act grant applications, distribution, and monitoring. The State will use this technology as a digital expenditure management portal to ensure federal funds allocated to combat the Covid-19 pandemic are appropriately prioritized and efficiently distributed across state agencies, as well as local and tribal governments.

In just under two weeks, the State of Idaho Controller’s Office and OpenGov successfully partnered with Idaho State Governor Brad Little’s Coronavirus Fiscal Advisory Committee to procure funds for software that could be rapidly implemented to effectively manage the millions of incoming federal grant dollars allocated to the State for crisis response.   “It is imperative that Idaho’s cities, counties, tribes and districts are able to make decisions for their constituents with the knowledge that they can quickly and easily apply for these CARES funds,” State Controller Brandon Woolf said. “Likewise, it is critical that Idahoans are able to see for themselves that their tax dollars are being spent responsibly during this crisis. Our partnership with OpenGov and the hard work of both of our teams made these two critical needs a reality in a very short amount of time.” OpenGov’s Forms and Workflows software suite will be utilized to provide clarity and oversight in the distribution of the CARES Act grant funds, and most importantly to provide a tool for Idaho’s cities, counties, tribes and districts to get access to resources they need to support their residents. OpenGov President, David Reeves shared, “We look forward to partnering with the State of Idaho to rapidly deploy and leverage modern software to help them navigate their emergency response to this pandemic, as well as the long-term fiscal responsibility of managing incoming federal grants. The State’s ability to act quickly and decisively in expanding their capacity through cloud technology is an example for other agencies, and will serve them well as we continue to recover from this crisis in the weeks, months, and years to come.”The State of Idaho joins over one thousand state and local governments leveraging OpenGov to revolutionize work processes with cloud-based software designed specifically for the needs of the public sector.
