Dr. C. Norman Shealy, President of Shealy-Sorin Wellness and Holos Energy Medicine Education was recently selected for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award given by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).
While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members are selected for the Lifetime Achievement Award. These special honorees are distinguished based on their longevity in their fields, their contributions they have made to society and the impact they have had on their industries. Dr. Shealy will be honored at IAOTP’s 2020 Annual Awards Gala being held at the Plaza Hotel in NYC for this distinction and also for his selection as Top Physician of the Year in Chronic Pain for 2020 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).
Dr. C. Norman Shealy is being recognized with this distinction for having over 6 decades of professional experience as a Physician. As a dynamic, results-driven leader, Dr. Shealy has demonstrated success not only as a Chronic Pain Management Physician but in every role he has ever served. For over 45 years, Dr. Shealy has served as the CEO of the Shealy-Sorin Wellness Institute in Springfield, MO. He created the concept of Holistic Medicine in 1971 and was the Founding President of the American Holistic Medical Association in 1978.Dr. Shealy also served as the President of Holos Institute of Health, and co-founded Holos University Graduate Seminary. He is President Emeritus and Professor Emeritus of Energy Medicine, Holos University Graduate Seminary and Professor Emeritus of Energy Medicine for Greenwich University. Dr. Shealy also served in the Naval Reserves from 1956-1963 and received an honorable discharge.
Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Shealy has received many awards and accolades and has been recognized in numerous publications and magazines worldwide for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the Healthcare Industry. For 2020, he graced the Front Cover of T.I.P. (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine and will be honored for the Lifetime Achievement Award and as Top Expert Physician of the Year in Chronic Pain at IAOTP’s Annual Awards Gala. In 2021 Dr. Shealy will be considered for the Top Doctor of the Decade Award. Much of his life’s work has awarded him achievements including the AHMA’s Holistic Person of the Year Award in 1985, the Stress Award from the American Institute of Stress in 1997, the Pearl Award from Bio-Medical Synergistics Education Institute in 2000 and the Surgeon English Humanitarian Award from Temple University in 2002. Dr. Shealy stands as the First President of the American Holistic Medical Association and has made advancements in Science and Humanitarian aspects through Medicine, Holism, Wellness, Education and his Innovations. Dr. Shealy is also a member with 14 different professional societies.
Before embarking on his current professional career path, Dr. C. Norman Shealy obtained his MD from Duke University School of Medicine in 1956. He holds a PhD in Psychology from the Saybrook Institute which he earned in 1977. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Science from Ryodoraku Research Institute of North America in 1979. As an accomplished physician, Dr. Shealy spent over 3 years at the Western Reserve Medical School where his research led to both the Dorsal Column Stimulation and the Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS). These innovations are both currently used worldwide to aid and control pain. Dr. Shealy is licensed in Missouri and holds Specialty Board Certification with the American Board of Neurological Surgery, American Board of Medical Psychotherapists, American Board of Pain Management, American Board of Somnology, American Board of Sexology and has a Biofeedback Certification by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America.
Dr. C. Norman Shealy’s innovations include Electro-Acupuncture, Spinal Cord Stimulation, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), the RejuvaMatrix for rejuvenating telomeres and Transcutaneous Acupuncture, which also rejuvenates telomeres; Chakra Sweep Gamma PEMF for stress reduction and opioid addiction, Sapphire Enhanced Scalar for remarkable biochemical reduction in stress and Biogenics Retraining of the Nervous System based on his PhD in Humanistic Psychology.
Aside from his successful career, Dr. Shealy has 14 patents in Energy Medicine, has published 36 books and over 350 articles. He remains active in his clinical work, research, writing and education. Dr. Shealy is a highly sought-after keynote speaker, who has reached national and international platforms and spoken at various conferences throughout his career. As a lecturer since 1971, he has taught his methods and trained hundreds of professionals at medical schools, universities, hospitals and churches, with up to 100 appearances each year. Dr. Shealy has appeared on numerous national TV Programs such as Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Tomorrow Show, Joan Rivers, Geraldo, Oprah, the Wisdom Channel and multiple regional and local television and radio programs. Dr. Shealy also had a popular call-in radio show for over 20 years which was broadcast in the Ozarks on KWTO, 560AM. He currently publishes a free weekly e-newsletter for the public.

He has a true passion for his service and high integrity in all of his professional and personal endeavors. When not working, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. Dr. Shealy is now widowed after 52 years of marriage to his wife, Mary-Charlotte Shealy.
