RICHMOND, July 27, 2020 – Richmond, VA-based Connected Solutions Group (CSG) and Shreveport, LA-based CyberReef Solutions, Inc. have partnered to offer connectivity solutions for school systems to deploy to their students for virtual learning environments as a result of in-person teaching being suspended throughout much of the United States due to COVID-19.
CSG, a national leader in wireless hardware deployment, has continued to see rising demand for wireless hotspots from school systems across the United States for their students who do not have broadband internet access at home. Since the COVID-19 crisis started in March, CSG has deployed tens-of-thousands of jetpack devices being used for virtual education.
As the early days of the COVID-19 response moved into summer, CSG was inundated with requests for hotspots that incorporate security and content management to protect students. CyberReef’s innovative platform solves these challenges in a simple, cost-effective manner. The Children’s Internet Defense Act (CIPA) requires that education networks apply filters to block content that could harm children, and make sure students are using the network for education-related purposes only.
