During Pandemic Plexus Worldwide Continues to Focus on Philanthropic Efforts with Virtual Paid Volunteer Time and Providing Opportunities to Serve

United States, Arizona – 09-28-2020 — During this time of quarantine and social distancing, employees at Plexus Worldwide(Plexus®), a leading direct-selling health and wellness company focused on health and happiness, continued the company’s philanthropic efforts for organizations locally and across the United States. In fact, Plexus has been in constant communication with their partners to find out ways their employees can safely help out by specifically focusing on virtual events for employees to utilize their paid volunteer time, which employees love to support.

One of the most influential volunteer efforts offered employees a chance to create inspirational cards for kids, families, patients, first responders, and healthcare workers at organizations such as St. Vincent de Paul, Cancer Support Community Arizona, Ryan House, and HandsOn Greater Phoenix, to name a few. In fact, Plexus employees got together and used this as a virtual team building exercise, and even got their families and children involved in creating these motivating and heartfelt cards. “Plexus wants everyone to know, especially now, that they are being thought of and they are valued,” said Tarl Robinson, Founder and CEO of Plexus Worldwide. “Volunteering is part of our unique culture at Plexus, and we weren’t willing to sacrifice that because of the current virtual working environment. Creating heartfelt cards that provide uplifting and positive messages to local charity partners is just one way our employees are virtually volunteering.””It is not common to see companies encouraging their employees to give back during business hours, but Plexus has never hesitated, not even during the pandemic,” said Elizabeth Woods, Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist at Plexus Worldwide. “This just shows us the heart that our team members have, and I am extremely grateful to work here.” In addition to writing encouragement cards, Plexus team members also helped St. Vincent de Paul plant seedlings for their three Urban Farms. The Urban Farms have had limited or no volunteers right now leaving this vital task of seed starting undone while they finish harvesting. Plexus employees helped spruce up the Urban Farms with painted rocks. Plexus team members painted veggies and fruits on rocks they found around their neighborhood so that St. Vincent de Paul can use the rocks to label rows of freshly planted seeds with summer crops. “Plexus Worldwide was St. Vincent de Paul’s first corporate participant in our new Virtual Volunteerism Program,” said Shawn Donnelly, Community Engagement Officer. “Plexus set a wonderful example of how a corporation can continue to give back to their community, while they are helping from home or their offices, with the same passion as joining us in person. Plexus leadership will make a tremendous difference in how we all move forward to build a stronger community together.”In addition to volunteer efforts, Plexus provided in-kind donations to several organizations such as St. Mary’s Food Bank, Food Banks Canada, Atlanta Community Food Bank, St. Vincent de Paul in Georgia and Arizona, the Mesa and Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Police Departments, Paz de Cristo, and Cancer Support Community Arizona. In addition, Plexus held an internal Heat Relief Campaign where employees donated more than $3,000 USD, which was added to the corporate donation of $5,000 USD to The Salvation Army. Many events have been cancelled due to the global pandemic, but Plexus was still able to sponsor virtual events with organizations across Arizona such as a virtual Porch Party for Cancer Support Community Arizona and a community breakfast for Ryan House. In addition, Plexus has donated more than $57,000 USD to organizations such as St. Vincent de Paul, The Salvation Army, Paz de Cristo, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Ryan House, and St. Mary’s Food Bank.About Plexus Worldwide:Plexus Worldwide, LLC is a leading health and happiness company featuring health and wellness products that enable people to improve their lives and well-being.
