Sheltered Nook: Your Escape from the Bustle

BAY CITY, OR – 11-09-2020 ( — Staying Connected as a Community in a Time of Social Distancing on the Oregon Coast

From their inception in 2013, owners Hank and Dee Harguth dreamt of a place where  people from all walks of life could gather and feel part of a community. They eventually grew from a bed and breakfast  to a micro-resort with multiple tiny homes, creating a space for visitors to rest and tell stories while they explore the beautiful Tillamook Coast.  Hank and Dee have always loved hosting and entertaining, so the first step was designing the perfect location. When they originally purchased 3 acres in Bay City, OR in 2005, the plan was to host cyclists exploring the Oregon Coast. Over  the years, Hank and Dee hosted around 300 cyclists and discovered their love for sharing stories and connecting with  their guests. With a strong desire to cultivate this community and fellowship, they chose to open their Bed & Breakfast  in 2013. Eventually, they transformed their tiny home concept into a reality to continue sharing their little piece of  paradise. Sheltered Nook wants you to enjoy all the comforts and amenities of home inside your custom-built 385-square-foot  tiny home. At this time, we understand that, although we are safer to stay home, it can be challenging on families with children taking their learning from the classroom to the household. We hope to get people out of the house and explore the alluring, natural world of the Tillamook Coast, away from the all the hustle and bustle. The tiny homes are a great  way to feel at home with their full-sized appliances, cozy décor, and WIFI, perfect for remote work or online learning.  The goal is to keep all guests safe and still maintain the sense of community.  In 2005, Sheltered Nook envisioned a place to cultivate diversity and community. Today Sheltered Nook brings people together to explore the Tillamook Coast with the goal of escaping the bustle of daily life, sharing stories, and building lasting friendships. Enjoy all the comforts of home, with three queen-sized beds, a completely equipped kitchen with full-sized appliances, WIFI, and more. Sheltered Nook is the perfect home away from home, peacefully nestled among towering trees and serene coastal climate. We hope to see you here in Bay City, OR soon!  To embark on your own journey and enjoy your stay at ‘home’, please call Dee at 877-299-NOOK, or send us an email at  [email protected].
