Dr. West is a Board-Certified dermatologist and the founder of the West Institute. She has been providing gold standard dermatologic and laser services to patients in the Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland area for more than two decades.
Following medical school, Dr. West completed two residencies (Internal Medicine and Dermatology) as well as a fellowship in Dermatology Clinical Research and has been involved with studies that helped pioneer the current generation of dermal fillers. She was a co-author of the original landmark article in the international medical literature on laser resurfacing for the treatment of acne scars. Additionally, Dr. West has participated in clinical trials and authored journal articles on neuromodulators like BOTOX® as well as other cutaneous laser treatments and techniques.
