The full-service building envelope company is delighted to add the experience and expertise of their newest Senior Consultant
West Palm Beach, FL & Woodbury, MN: GCI Consultants is excited to announce the addition of Dan Johnson as a Senior Consultant to its team of building envelope experts effective immediately.
Mr. Johnson joins GCI after spending 32 years with Intertek and Architectural Testing, Inc., a global total quality assurance provider. Mr. Johnson began his career at Intertek as a Laboratory Manager and most recently held the title of Regional Manager. As Regional Manager, Mr. Johnson was responsible for windstorm, thermal, and quality assurance testing of windows, doors, curtain walls, insulated glass, and supporting building components. He also conducted field quality assurance and investigative testing on all ranges and types of buildings and fenestration.
Mr. Johnson has built a successful career in the fenestration industry after obtaining his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Technology from St. Cloud State University. He serves as a chair/co-chair on several committees for the Fenestration & Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) including the Field Test and Forensic Investigation Document Update Task Group, Testing Criteria of Commercial Fenestration Updates Task Group, and Thermal Performance Standards Update Task Group. Dan is also an active member of numerous other committees within FGIA and ASTM International. Dan has enjoyed watching the industry and his friendships evolve and grow over the past three decades. He looks forward to joining the close-knit culture of GCI and is excited to work for a firm that is dedicated to building leakage, litigation, and assisting window manufacturers with the challenges of securing buildings.
