On January 30, 2020, the Historic Spurgeon building in downtown Santa Ana will be illuminated in purple and gold to honor the epic life and tragic passing of Lakers great Kobe Bryant. This simple tribute is in thanks for the two decades of joy and pride Kobe bestowed on southern Californians.
Built in 1913, the Historic W.H. Spurgeon Building was Santa Ana’s first skyscraper and is a historical landmark celebrated for its iconic clock tower. Located at 206 W. 4th Street in Santa Ana, the Historic Spurgeon Building was completely renovated in 2018 and is home to retail shops, artists, the Santa Ana Law Center and executive suites.
